In honor of
Halloween I wanted to bring forth to mind one of our most beloved fictional families, the Addams’. When Charles Addams created the Addams Family for the New Yorker in 1938, who knew why his creations would become iconic. Perhaps it is because the addams have inspired so many other inverted families (the Munsters and the Elliots for example). Perhaps it is because of the profound love they share, perhaps it is that they, in some ways, remind us of our own wayard fa
milies. Whatever the case, We love the Addams Family. Some of you know I’ll be going as Wednesday Addams for Halloween and I wanted to share with you all some of Charles’ early work. Happy Haunting!
